The reaction OF N -dichlorophosphoryl- P -trichlorophosphazene with alkyl grignard reagents

HETEROATOM CHEMISTRY, Issue 5 2003
F. Aslan
The reactions of N-dichlorophosphoryl-P-trichlorophosphazene Cl3PNP(O)Cl2 (1) with benzylmagnesium bromide, 2-phenylethylmagnesium bromide, trimethylsilylmethylmagnesium chloride, n-butylmagnesium bromide, cyclohexylmagnesium bromide, cyclopentylmagnesium bromide, tert-butylmagnesium bromide, iso-propylmagnesium bromide, and ethylmagnesium bromide were studied. Tri- and pentaalkyl phosphazenes were obtained in very poor yield from trimethylsilylmethylmagnesium chloride and cyclohexylmagnesium bromide, respectively. Trialkylphosphoryl compounds formed from benzyl-, 2-phenylethyl-, and n-butylmagnesium bromide. No phosphorus compound could be isolated from the reaction of 1 with t-butyl-, cyclopentyl-, iso-propyl-, and ethylmagnesium bromide. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Effects of Phosphates and Salt in Ground Raw and Cooked Farmed Cod (Gadus morhua) Muscle Studied by the Water Holding Capacity (WHC), and Supported by 31P-NMR Measurements

JOURNAL OF FOOD SCIENCE, Issue 3 2009
S.O. Johnsen
ABSTRACT:, A model system consisting of ground farmed cod muscle (80%, w/w) and added brine (20%, w/w) with different content and combinations of salt (0% and 3% in brine) and phosphorus compounds (mono-, di-, tri- and hexametaphosphates; 0% and 3% in brine) was used to simulate industrial brining of muscle foods. Individual phosphorus component concentrations and breakdown as function of time (0, 23 h) were analyzed using 31P-NMR spectroscopy. The effects of salt and phosphate on water holding capacity (WHC) were measured at similar sampling times, and interrelations between phosphorous components determined by NMR and WHC were established. Addition of salt led to a significant increase (+18%) in WHC, and the combined effect of salt and phosphates was even more pronounced (+29%). The positive effect of triphosphate and salt on WHC was also seen after cooking (+36% in raw and +41% in cooked cod muscle, relative to control), although NMR analysis showed a rapid breakdown of di- and triphosphates. Kinetics, energetics relationship during the electron transfer from trivalent phosphorus compounds to the singlet photoexcited sensitizers

JOURNAL OF PHYSICAL ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, Issue 7-8 2008
Shinro Yasui
Abstract The rate constants kET for the electron transfer (ET) from trivalent phosphorus compounds Z3P to the singlet photoexcited states 1S* of neutral sensitizers, i.e., 9,10-dicyanoanthracene (DCN) and 9-cyanoanthracene (CA), were determined based on the Stern,Volmer (SV) method. As previously found in the ET from Z3P to the singlet photoexcited states 1S+* of a monocationic sensitizer, i.e., rhodamine 6G (Rho+), the plot of logkETversus the free-energy change of the ET step, ,G0, in the endothermic region deviated upward from the line predicted by the Rehm,Weller theory. The deviation was slightly greater during the ET to 1S* than during the ET to 1S+*. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. [source]

Diastereomers (RC,SP)- and (RC,RP)- S -methyl P -(3-azidopropyl)- N -[(1R)-1-phenylethyl]phosphonamidothioate

ACTA CRYSTALLOGRAPHICA SECTION C, Issue 4 2009
Lilu Guo
Diastereoisomers of the title organophosphorus compound, C12H19N4OPS, denoted RCSP, (I), and RCRP, (II), were structurally characterized and compared. Asymmetric phosphorus compounds are of interest with regard to the use of these systems as possible protein probes via the stereoselective delivery of an azide group tethered to the P atom into key protein regions. The diastereomers were produced in a 1:1 mixture and isolated by chromatography. Although both isomers crystallize in the same space group with superficially similar cell constants, conformational and packing differences are pronounced. Despite the conformational differences, strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding links both isomers into chains parallel to the a axis [N...O = 2.8609,(18) and 2.966,(3),Å in (I) and (II), respectively], with C,H..., interchain interactions of ca 3.5,Å. Separation of chiral phosphorus compounds on the substituted ,-cyclodextrin stationary phase in normal-phase liquid chromatography

CHINESE JOURNAL OF CHEMISTRY, Issue 4 2000
Chen Hyi
Abstract The separation of enantiomers of a series of eighteen novel nitrogen mustard linked phosphoryl diamide derivatives was investigated on the prepared phenyl carbamate derivative ,-cyclodextrin bonded phase in normal-phase HPLC. Some of the enantiomers could be separated in baseline. The chiral recognition mechanism was also suggested for the separation of chiral phosphorus organic compounds. [source]
